Clinical Background
While in Chicago, IL , she worked with children who were removed from the home due to DCFS related issues. Once in California, She began working at multiple non-profit organizations across Los Angeles County focusing on helping underserved communities with substance abuse and mental health challenges. She started off doing homeless outreach in the community; then transitioned to managing and overseeing services being provided at outpatient and residential recovery programs. Working in these settings, she has assisted individuals struggling with addiction, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, and mild to moderate psychosis. She has helped individuals navigate challenges with relationships, communication, and self-worth. In addition, she has also worked with individuals who struggled with social reintegration while transitioning back into the community from the criminal justice systems.
Cathleen started attending a year long training through Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) in 2022 to become educated in the protocols of psychedelic-assisted therapy for the treatment of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. She is projected to complete training to come an IPI Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Practitioner by the summer of 2023.

What People Are Saying
“
My life is crazy. It’s all real, trust me, just crazy. Cathleen didn’t even bat a lash, she didn’t judge or make me feel bad about any of it. She just talked with me and offered suggestions and solutions. She is very calm and understanding. I value her insight, time and suggestions. She always leaves me with a little food for thought for our next meeting, which I look forward too.

“Cathleen is the best therapist I've ever had. If you're looking for a sign on which therapist to go with, this is it. She is an amazing listener. She even hears the things I don't say. Cathleen is so supportive and encouraging. She challenges me without being pushy. I feel like I am a stronger more confident women because of her. I came to Cathleen with family and relationship issues. She helped me become a better more assertive communicator and establish healthy boundaries. I feel much more confident than I was at the start of my time with her. I can't thank her enough for everything she did to help me. She is 10/10!”
